A new sleep study by people who know a lot about sleep demonstrated that after several days of not getting enough rest, caffeine alertness benefits are replaced by jitteriness and mood swings.

Here's why: when we are continually sleep deprived, scientists say our body produces more adenosine, which acts as a wall keeping the good caffeine properties away. For some reason, around day three of tiredness this adenosine wall gets too high and BAM! - our body goes haywire when caffeine is injected.

So, if you are reading this late at night, please go get some damn sleep. Caffeine ain't gonna help you tomorrow.
