Your New Cocktail: The Harvard

A New Cocktail: The Harvard

Looking for a new go-to cocktail this season that will make you look wicked smart?

Here's one with Ivy League roots. It's called the Harvard, after Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Cognac (Pierre Ferrand 1840)
.75 oz. Sweet Vermouth (La Quintinye)
.25 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 tsp. Real Grenadine
3 Dashes Aromatic Bitters (Angostura)

It sounds like a sweet drink with the lemon juice, but actually it's quite nice. Just make sure you (or your bartender) use high-quality ingredients.

Your friends, colleagues and co-workers will be green with 'ivy'.
